AN INTRODUCTION TO PINUP PERSPECTIVES Hello, welcome, and thank you for being here! I am very excited to begin this journey of self-expression and to help others feel confidant with themselves and their future through stories of the past and resources from the present. Let’s ring in the new year together with strength and pride! IT TAKES A LOT MORE THAN LIPSTICK AND CUBAN STOCKINGS TO MAKE A STRONG WOMAN. IN TODAY’S DIFFICULT AND UNPREDICTABLE LANDSCAPE, IT CAN BE EVEN HARDER TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND WHERE YOU ARE GOING. I want to share experiences and observations from not only me but with generations of strong women that have unique perspectives. I believe that we can share experiences and tips to help each other grow, live the life of our dreams, and find that path to our highest self. IN THE AGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION, SHOULDN’T WE ALWAYS BE TWO STEPS AHEAD? Anything anyone is going through, someone else has done it and might have a perspective to share with others. As a collective we can help each other learn lessons and develop our ideas of how to make our lives what we have always wanted to be. As a millennial, I will probably never grow up. I will always have my sense of fantasy, imagination, and hope for a better future. That’s a hard concept for many to grasp. Different generations DO have a different outlook on how to live and how to make their life as bearable as possible. I WANT TO GET PEOPLE OUT OF THE HABIT OF LIVING A “BEARABLE” LIFE AND LIVE THE LIFE YOU DESPERATELY WANT TO. Many of us have gone down a path that we are now realizing wasn’t good for us. Whether it’s a career or a partner, something down the road made you make a safe decision for what we thought was going to be a simple life. Get a degree and you’ll be financially stable. Get a house and you’ll feel at home. Have kids and you’ll feel fulfilled. Sound familiar? The pandemic has thrown so much of those options out of alignment. As we sweep up the mess and rebuild, it’s the perfect time to reflect and ask, what direction do you really want to go in? Were you really happier before the pandemic than now? Is what you have lost this year too much to handle? Can you recover? Can I go back to how things were? Should I? I encourage anyone who is thinking “should I go back to how things were” NOT TO! If you were happy with your career, education, relationship, lifestyle, and money before the pandemic and you think you will bounce back to the same routine, then AMAZING! Good for you! The end goal is living happy and free. But if not then I am glad you are still here. I’m thinking you don’t want to go back. You want better for yourself. I didn’t want to go back. I was miserable in my career and my beloved city was deteriorating my health. I was not living my truest self and therefore living a fake life. A fake but financially consistent life. SOMETIMES WE MAKE THE CHOICE OF SECURITY OVER HAPPINESS. I’ve made that decision several times and in this blog, I will tell some of those stories that helped make me the person I am today and hopefully help others who can relate benefit from life lessons. Of course, I am no guru, only a Pinup with some advice to offer. I encourage others to share their stories as I want to have a span of experiences from women throughout the generations. SO JOIN ME AS I CELEBRATE WOMEN THROUGHOUT THE AGES AND SHARE STORIES THAT CAN EXPRESS OUR DEEPEST NEEDS AND DESIRES. WE INFLUENCE SO MUCH IN THIS WORLD. WE ARE THE CREATORS OF OUR OWN REALITIES AND WE CAN BE STRONGER THAN EVER. I WANT TO HELP US TRANSITION TO A NEW FUTURE. WHEN WE EXPRESS OURSELVES IN OUR WORDS, OUR SONG, OUR STYLE, AND OUR SEXUALITY, WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE. AND ALTHOUGH I SPEAK AS A WOMAN GENERALLY TO WOMEN, THERE IS A MESSAGE FOR ALL TO HEAR. DON’T WASTE ANY MORE TIME NOT BEING WHO YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE. SO RAISE YOUR COUPE TO THE NEW YEAR, SAY GOODBYE TO THE HINDENBURG THAT WAS 2020, AND LET US LEARN LESSONS FROM OUR PAST AND BECOME REBORN IN 2021 WITH RENEWED LIGHT AND SACRED ENERGY!
